About the Alden Fund

This page will tell you about the fund. If you still have questions, please click on the contact us page.

Who is Alden?

Alden Siegel is the beautiful baby boy of Seri and Pete Siegel. He was born on December 1, 2007. Sadly, little Alden has been dealing with a variety of medical issues since he came into this world a few short months ago. He spent more than three weeks in the hospital in March of 2008 with an undiagnosed stomach condition. He has been unable to keep food down and it's a struggle to get him the amount of formula necessary to keep his little body growing. The doctors have been unable to pinpoint the exact problem thus far.

Why does he need a fund?

Because he spent so many weeks in the hospital, Alden's parents are now drowning in medical bills. They have health insurance (thank God!), but the co-pay's alone are already costing them thousands of dollars. Also, since the problem is still not diagnosed, they will need to spend more time (and money) in the hospital. Even after the problem is diagnosed, they will likely have to pay for medication or special formula at least partially out of their own pocket. Seri and Pete want to provide a good life for Alden once he gets better, but they face years of paying off the debt caused by these medical issues unless we can help.

How can I help?

By giving to this fund. Even small amounts are appreciated - anything you can do to help. Click on the donate page for more details. Since this is a fund and not a non-profit entity, your donation will unfortunately not be tax-deductible, but we hope that this will not deter you from helping this family.
